The name ROCK SOLID was derived from two of my
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
The first scripture shows that God is like (1) a rock, unmoveable by anyone who would harm us; (2) a fortress or place of safety which is off limits to all enemy; (3) a shield that comes between us and harm, (4) a horn of salvation, a symbol of power and strength; and (5) a stronghold high above our enemies. Enemies are not just people and they come in many different shapes and forms. Poverty, sickness, disease, hatred, fear, and injustice are a few examples of our enemies. This scripture reminds us that whenever we need help or protection from our enemies, whoever or whatever they may be, all we have to do is look to God.
The other scripture that the name ROCK SOLID was based on comes from Jesus' parables about the wise man that built his house on the ROCK.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet is did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

This second scripture represents how we should live our lives and for us at ROCK SOLID, how we should also run this company. It lets us know that if we live our lives righteously, and practice the principles that Jesus taught us, we too will be like the wise man that built his house on the rock. When problems rain on us, or streams of illness are flowing through us or the winds of financial challenges are blown our way, we will be able to weather the storm because we have built a solid foundation on the rock—the word of God.
